- Greater business opportunities expected with increasing participation of domestic and overseas prospects
□ Korea Federation of Textile Industries (Chairman Lee Sang-woon) looks forward to welcoming exhibitors to“Preview in SEOUL (PIS) 2022”which takes place at COEX Hall A from August 24 (Wed) to August 26 (Fri).
ㅇ PIS celebrates its 23rd anniversary this year as a global fashion & textile exhibition, and has been attended by approx. 300 companies in the fields of materials, subsidiary materials, machinery, IT and fashion, including Korean manufacturers with considerable presence in the global textile material market, and 14,000 visitors online and offline.
ㅇ With easing social distancing policy and self-quarantine for overseas visitors to Korea (lifted from April 1st), PIS 2022 is expected to see increasing participation of domestic and overseas prospects which have been looking for face-to-face exhibitions, and to witness greater excitement than ever offering more business opportunities to exhibitors.
□ PIS 2022 will take place under the theme of “Next Gate”, which means it will usher in a new era with new standards and values by recognizing COVID-19 as something to coexist with in our life, and will focus on textile, eco-friendliness, and digital convergence.
ㅇ PIS 2022 will showcase the latest technologies and products developed by manufacturers of natural·regenerated fibers and high-functionality·industrial fibers. The“Sustainability Zone” and the “Digital Zone” will be newly operated to shed lights on the transformation of the fashion and textile industry through green and digital revolution.
ㅇ Arranged meetings between exhibitors and prospects are expected to create tangible business opportunities. Korea Federation of Textile Industries will identify prospects drawing on its accumulated database of buyers, and invite handpicked global buyers from Europe and America by working with specialized agencies. It also plans to attract target prospects by tapping into the big data platform of KOTRA.
□ Prominent overseas exhibitions such as PV and Texworld have been held in a hybrid form combining online and offline programs in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, PIS 2022 is also planning to provide non-face-to-face marketing services through an online exhibition, called “Digital Show”, and attract greater turnout of visitors by holding a variety of events and promotions.
ㅇ The PIS Digital Show will open in mid-July for the purpose of supporting pre-marketing, where exhibitors will showcase main products by sharing digital contents, such as photos, videos, and 3D look-books, at their own online showrooms.
ㅇ Buyers can get a preview of products they are interested in online and take part in business consultations offline. Those who cannot visit the exhibition due to immigration restrictions can still view products, make inquiries and request samples online. The PIS Digital Show runs until the end of this year and exhibitors can keep uploading contents as necessary, and hence the Digital Show is expected to garner continuous visits of buyers.
ㅇ A variety of additional events will draw attention, such as a 3D virtual show, a seminar of the latest trends, collaboration with trend fair designer brands. PIS will also make efforts to expand its global presence by diversifying PR channels to include SNS, such as YouTube and Instagram, and partnership with prominent overseas exhibitions and international textile organizations.
□ Exhibitors can register at the PIS website (previewinseoul.com). 10% discount is offered to early bird registration by April 22 or consecutive participation (Korean exhibitors of PIS 2021 / overseas exhibitors of PIS 2019). Exhibitor registration ends on May 20.
