Conditions
Article 1
(Terms of Reference)
In these Terms and Regulations for
Participation, the term exhibitor shall include all employees, servants and
agents of any company, partnership, firm of individuals to whom space has been
allocated for the purpose of exhibiting. The term fair space refers to Preview
in Seoul (Seoul International Textile Fair). The term organizer is :
Korea Federation of Textile Industries (KOFOTI)
-16th floor, Textile Center bldg., 518, Teheranno, Gangnam-Gu, Seoul, KOREA
Article 2 (Application for Exhibitor)
a) All applications for participation shall be
made on the prescribed application form, which shall be submitted to the
organizer or its representatives.
b) Once signed and submitted to the organizer,
the contract shall come into effect upon the payment of 30% of the
participation fee made by the exhibitor.
Article 3 (Allocation of Exhibit Space)
a) The organizer shall allocate the space in
accordance with scale of exhibit space, the nature of the exhibits and the
order of application.
b) The organizer shall reserve the right to
change the space allocated to the exhibitor at any time prior to the
commencement of the installation for the fair. Such change shall be at the
discretion of the organizer, and the exhibitor has no claim for compensation as
a result of any changes.
Article 4 (Use of Exhibit Space)
a) Exhibitors are bound to exhibit the announced
products. Each booth should be kept by personnel during the open hours of the
fair.
b) Exhibitors are not allowed to sublet the
space allotted to other parties either wholly or in part without the written
consent of the organizer.
c) Exhibitors will be liable for any damage to
the exhibition area and shall not paint, deface, alter and/or fix anything on
the floors, ceilings, or walls without
the prior consent to the organizer.
Article 5 (Terms of Payment)
30%
deposit of the participation fee is payable together with application at the
time indicated. The balance should be paid by no later than Friday, May 10, 2023.
Article 6 (Termination of Contract)
In case the exhibitor refuses the use of all or
a part of the space allocated, or in case of default in payment by the
stipulated date, the organizer shall have the right to terminate the contract
forthwith and the pre-paid participation fee shall not be refunded.
Article 7 (Cancelation Penalty)
In events that exhibitor decides to cancel their
participation the following penalty needs to be paid to the organizers within
15 days of cancellation. The early deposit will be deducted as a penalty, the
amount of shortage must be added and the amount of surplus will be returned.
- Cancellation from June 1 to June 30, 2023: 50% of the total payment must
be paid.
- Cancellation from July 1 to July 31, 2023: 70% of the total payment
must be paid.
- Cancellation after August 1, 2023: 100% of the total payment
must be paid.
Article 8
(Force Majeure)
a) The organizer reserves the right to change
the venue and duration of the fair, if exceptional circumstances demand. In the
event of a change of
venue and/or date of cancellation of the fair, the exhibitor shall not be
entitled to any claim for compensation in connection with the booking for participation.
In case the exhibition canceled due to force
majeure such as natural disaster. The organizer shall refund total registration fee paid by the
exhibitors
Article 9 (Removal of Exhibits)
Exhibitors shall remove all exhibits from the
exhibition hall within the period stipulated by the organizer and shall
indemnify the organizer against any loss
by reason of delay or damage to the exhibition hall.
Article 10 (Security)
a) The organizer shall take all reasonable
security precautions in the interests of exhibitors and visitors.
b) The organizer shall not be responsible for
any loss or theft or damage to exhibits in the exhibition hall during the
build-up, exhibition and dismantling
periods. The organizer shall also not be responsible for any loss or damage
relative to the exhibit. Exhibitors shall take out their own insurance if
necessary.
Article 11 (Fire Regulations)
a) Products displayed in a booth and
construction materials must be properly fire-proofed in accordance with the
local fire and safety Regulations.
b) The organizer shall reserve the right to
limit the construction of any demonstration that has a potential safety hazard.
Article 12 (Supplementary Clauses)
a) Whenever necessary, the organizer shall have
the right to issue supplementary regulations.
b) Any additional written regulations shall form
parts of the Terms and Regulations for participation and they shall be binding
on the exhibitors.
Article 13 (Arbitration of Disputes)
Any dispute, difference or question which may
arise at any time between the organizer and the exhibitor facing the true
construction of these Terms and Regulations for Participation or the rights and
liabilities of the parties shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with
the procedures and standard of commercial arbitration board in Seoul, Korea.
